Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter - review
This was the second instalment in the Heist Society and, having read both series written by Ally Carter (Gallagher Girls and Heist Society), I much prefer this series. However, I was disappointed at the predictability of the book and I find that Ally Carter's books follow the same writing pattern. So it's easy to guess what will happen next. I also find her writing a little simplistic so that could make the book a little boring at times. Despite this, I still read the book quickly and did enjoy it but not as much as the first. I definitely liked the story idea but I think it could have been edited further to give more detail in certain places where things only just made sense. I didn't really like the way that the book characters were indestructible, flawless and overconfident, especially Kat: she could hardly bring herself to admit that she had actually for once been wrong about something, and slipped up, whereas in real life everybody makes mistakes on a regular basis. I will finish the series as I like the storylines and the writing style but I won't rave about how fantastic this book is as I would with some. Want to tell the world about a book you've read?
